Olympiacos is looking ahead to the new season (2025/2026) and plans to start its preparations on August 27. The Greek champion’s first training session is scheduled for the same date, two days after the players’ mandatory medical examinations.
The national team players participating in EuroBasket 2025 will be absent from the start of the preparations. Kostas Papanikolaou, Giannoulis Larentzakis, Tyler Dorsey, Kostas Antetokounmpo and Omiros Netzipoglou compete for the Greek national team, while Nikola Milutinov plays for the Serbian national team.
“Olympiacos is slowly getting into the rhythm of the new season! On August 25, Georgios Bartzokas’ players will undergo the mandatory medical and ergometric examinations, and the first training session is scheduled for two days later, specifically on August 27 at the “Palace of Peace and Friendship”. National players Kostas Papanikolaou, Giannoulis Larentzakis, Tyler Dorsey, Kostas Antetokounmpo, Omiros Netzipoglou and Nikola Milutinov will be absent from the start of the preparation due to their commitments with their respective national teams”, explained the basketball team from Piraeus.
During the 2024/2025 season, Olympiacos secured the Greek championship. In the Euroleague, the team achieved first place in the regular season with a record of 24–10, and in the Final Four, they concluded in 3rd place after defeating Panathinaikos 97-93 in the match for third place.
