Brazilian basketball club Flamengo has officially announced the transfer of American guard Dee Bost, who is a naturalized Bulgarian and played for the national team. He has signed a four-month contract with the club until the end of the calendar year as a replacement for the injured Franco Baralle.

Dee Bost has extensive experience, having played for Monaco, Zalgiris, Galatasaray and ASVEL in the Euroleague, and most recently was a basketball player for Qatari Al-Rayyan.

Dee Bost played his college basketball career in Mississippi State and was part of the 2012 NBA draft, but remained undrafted. On August 19, 2013, Bost joined the Portland Trail Blazers but was released by the team on October 22 of the same year. Shortly thereafter, in November 2013, he was picked up by the Idaho Stampede as an affiliate player. Since then he played at more than 15 clubs worldwide and showed his skills.

The 35-year-old guard has 27 appearances for the Bulgarian national team, opting out of the 2022 World Cup. He was supposed to return to the team earlier this year to help out for the match against Germany, but in the end, that did not happen.
